Service Description: The Natural Filter Buffer Targeting layers were developed to support Maryland Department of Natural Resources Chesapeake and Coastal Service in targeting and selecting sites for natural filter BMP implementation. These layers allow managers to visualize potential riparian buffer project sites. These data were also developed to identify priority BMP locations for water quality improvement (i.e. nitrogen, phosphorus, and sediment removal). They are inputs into the Natural Filter Buffer Priorities for Water Quality models.
