Description: MBSS100 - the stream network for the State of Maryland, based on data acquired from the U.S. Geological Survey, developed for accuracy at a 1:100,000 scale. The stream base data have been augmented with information regarding the Strahler stream order and the presence or absence of a tidal influence in the stream represented by the segment.
Description: Stronghold Watersheds were developed to provide information about the location of important 12-digit watersheds within Maryland for the conservation of primarily freshwater fish and mussel species considered rare, threatened, endangered, or in need of conservation in the state. Some rare freshwater aquatic species, such as dragonflies or crayfishes were not included in this analysis.
